• Pure Spessartite is a clear orange color, however orange Spessartite is not common. Excellent Reddish, brownish or yellowish tint are more frequent, while the most desirable color is a fiery red with slight orange tints. Spessartite has an exceptionally high refractive index giving Spessartite gemstones a special brilliance.
